M.P.E. (MASTER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


A Age :
  The age of the candidate must not exceed 27 years on Ist July of this Session. The candidate who have participated in recognized National or International competition and SC/ST/OBC will be given 3 years relaxation in age. The women candidate will also be given 3 years relaxation in age.
NOTE: No age bar is fixed for in service candidates if they apply with departmental permission
B Academic Qualification :
  (i) The candidate must have passed Three years degree course in Physical Education or One year Diploma in Physical Education after graduation or equivalent with 50% of marks.
  (ii) The candidates who have represented Inter University, National or International tournaments or are from SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible with 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
NOTE: In service candidates should apply with departmental permission.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE


A Academic field :
  i Written examination (2 Hrs)
(Knowledge of subjects learned in B.P.E/B.P.Ed. and Basic General Knowledge of games and sports)
100 Marks
B Sports Field (any one) : 100 Marks
  Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Cricket, Judo, Hand ball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Swimming, Gymnastics, Wrestling (only men) Weight lifting, Yoga, Track & Field (Two events – one Track and one field event)
Note : The School of Physical Education has the rights to include or delete any game according to administrative feasibility.
 
C Bonus Marks (On the basis of his/her achievement) :
  1. Participation in International Competitions. 15 Marks
  2. I, II and III place in above competitions. 10 Marks
  3. Participated in All India Inter University, National games or S.G.F.I. 05 Marks
Total 15 Marks
Grand Total 215 Marks

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES


On the basis of the performance in the admission test list of general and reserved category will be displayed on the notice board of the department. In every category the admission will be given only on the basis of Merit. If any seats are found vacant in any category if will be filled on the basis of merit from the waiting list of that category. If the seats are still vacant it will be filled from general category.

    Notes:
  1. 1. In each category 30% seats are reserved for women candidates.
  2. 2. The seats for SC and ST are inter changeable
  3. 3. The change in the rules of State Govt./University/ Department will be applicable from time to time.
